Lap 200 -- CHECKERED FLAG:
Jimmie Johnson holds off Mark Martin to win the Allstate
400 at the Brickyard and become the first driver to win
consecutive NASCAR races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Lap 159 --
WHITE FLAG: Jimmie Johnson tries different lines to
avoid Mark Martin. Martin pulls close off Turn 2, but
Johnson breaks his draft. Lap 158 --
Two laps to go and the difference from Jimmie Johnson to
Mark Martin is two car-lengths. Lap 157 --
Three laps to go and Jimmie Johnson is moving around the
track trying to keep Mark Martin from picking up any
draft from his car. Lap 156 --
The leaders are approaching traffic and Mark Martin is
now on the bumper of Jimmie Johnson hunting the lead. Lap 155 --
Five laps to go with Jimmie Johnson leading Mark Martin. Lap 153 --
Jimmie Johnson pulls away from Mark Martin a little. The
lead is now 0.423 seconds. Back to

Juan Montoya and Joey Logano battle hard for 11th place.
Montoya nudges Logano, but concedes the position. Lap 150 --
With 10 laps to go, Jimmie Johnson leads Mark Martin by
0.618 seconds. Martin has the fastest car on the track

Matt Kenseth is running 10th and having a solid day.
Meanwhile, Michael Waltrip's crew pushes the car down

With 20 laps to go, Juan Montoya is in 14th position. He
restarted in 12th. Lap 138 --
Jeff Burton is on pit road for tires. He has a flat

LEAD CHANGE: Jimmie Johnson makes the outside lane work
on the restart and pulls ahead of Mark Martin for the

YELLOW FLAG NO. 3: Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s car goes up in
smoke as he comes off Turn 4. He heads to the garage. Lap 128 --
LEAD CHANGE: Mark Martin is the new leader when Casey
Mears pits. Lap 127 --
LEAD CHANGE: Brian Vickers pits, giving the lead to
Casey Mears. Juan Montoya is clocked for speeding on
entry and exit of pit road. He returns to serve his
pass-through penalty. The driver is disputing the
penalty. Lap 126 --
LEAD CHANGE: Juan Montoya pits for a slight air-pressure
adjustment to the right-rear. He gets tires and fuel.
Tony Stewart pits for a minor adjustment and tires. Mark
Martin pits for fuel and tires. Jimmie Johnson pits.

Kevin Harvick is in for air pressure and a track-bar
change. Carl Edwards pits for service on his car. Lap 124 --
Greg Biffle gives up his top-five position for a pit
stop to begin green-flag service. Kasey Kahne also pits
for tires and fuel. Martin Truex Jr. is in. The drivers
pitting this early likely won't be able to make it to
the end of the race. Lap 120 --
David Reutimann and Kevin Harvick are battling for 10th
position. Reutimann has it, but Harvick is on his bumper
and looking inside. Lap 116 --
Mark Martin has the fastest car this lap from his second

Bill Elliott is having a solid day running in 15th
position. He started fourth and has not fallen out of
the top 20 the entire race. Lap 110 --
Jimmie Johnson dips below Brian Vickers and finally gets
around him to take third position. Johnson had followed
Vickers for nearly 10 laps. Lap 106 --
Kevin Harvick has the fastest car this lap from the 11th
position. Lap 103 -- It
appears that leader Juan Montoya and Brian Vickers can
for sure make it the rest of the way on one pit stop.
The other leaders may need more than that, or to
conserve fuel. Lap 101 --
Jimmie Johnson closes in on the rear bumper of Brian
Vickers as the two run third and fourth, respectively. Lap 99 --
Reed Sorenson runs in 12th position and continues his
solid day. Lap 96 --
Juan Montoya leads by 5.500 seconds after green-flag pit

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is continuing his strong run and
hanging in seventh position. Lap 85 --
Joey Logano is up to 17th position after starting the
race from the back of the grid. Lap 82 --
Juan Montoya leads Mark Martin by 4.103 seconds with
green-flag pit stops approaching in about 10 laps. Lap 80 --
Juan Montoya continues to lead as the race reaches the
halfway point. He has led 74 of the 80 laps. Lap 77 -- All
four Hendrick cars are running in the top 10. Lap 74 --
Clint Bowyer runs in 11th position with a tight race
car. His teammate, Kevin Harvick, is behind him in 12th. Lap 70 --
Michael Waltrip is on pit road with the hood up. His car
is overheating. Lap 69 -- Sam
Hornish Jr. has a right-side tire going down after
contact with the wall. He got loose coming off the
corner and brushed the wall. Lap 68 --
Jeff Gordon is in the top 10 now running in 10th
position. He started in 22nd. Lap 66 --
Jimmie Johnson moves around Tony Stewart to take fifth

Johnson Lap 61 --
Kyle Busch's car is in the garage as his team works on
the damage. He sits in 37th position and currently would
be outside of the top 12 in points as they stand now. Lap 59 --

Montoya gets a track-bar adjustment for a tight car • Mark Martin

gains three positions with a fast stop Lap 58 --
YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Kyle Busch blows a right-front tire
and smashes into the wall. He has big right-side damage
and heads to pit road. Lap 55 --
Kasey Kahne is running in 12th position. He has fallen
back to 15th in the first green-flag run, but after pit
stops has settled into 12th. Lap 53 --
David Reutimann is having a solid run and is in ninth
position. He started in fifth. Lap 51 --
Brian Vickers has the fastest car on the track this lap.
He runs in fourth. Lap 49 --
Juan Montoya continues to lead and has said nothing on
the radio. He has an advantage of 2.425 seconds ahead of
Mark Martin. Lap 47 --
Greg Biffle has moved into the top 10 and now runs in
eighth position. Lap 45 --
Denny Hamlin's team has the car in the garage and is
reporting a broken driveshaft. The shifter broke off
when Hamlin was coming to pit road for his stop. Lap 43 --
Mark Martin is holding on to second position, but he
says he is battling a really loose car. Lap 41 --
Kurt Busch is in 35th position and one lap down after
having to return to pit road with a loose wheel. Lap 39 --
Kyle Busch is up to ninth place after pit stops. Busch
started the race in 20th. Lap 36 --
After green-flag pit stops, Juan Montoya leads by 2.169

LEAD CHANGE: David Gilliland pits, giving the lead back
to Juan Montoya. Lap 34 --
Denny Hamlin coasts onto pit road to his stall. Kurt
Busch returns to pit road with a loose wheel. Lap 33 --
LEAD CHANGE: Tony Stewart pits for an air-pressure
adjustment, tires and fuel. Denny Hamlin slowly comes
back to pit road with potential transmission problems.
His car is running but will not go into gear. David
Gilliland leads. Lap 32 --
LEAD CHANGE: Juan Montoya pits for no changes and tires.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. pits for tires and fuel. Jimmie
Johnson gets new tires. The leader is now Tony Stewart. Lap 31 --
Jeff Burton and Matt Kenseth make their pit stops. Brian
Vickers gives up fourth position to pit and get minor
air-pressure changes. Kasey Kahne is in for track-bar
and wedge adjustments. Jeff Gordon pits for four tires. Lap 30 --
Kyle Busch pits for four tires and fuel. No changes this
early. Joey Logano is also in for his stop for four
tires. Lap 30 --
Kevin Harivck is on pit road to begin green-flag pit
stops. Harvick takes four tires and fuel. Lap 29 --
Joey Logano is still trying to move by Matt Kenseth for
22nd position. He has chased Kenseth for several laps
and has had difficulty finding a hole to pass. Lap 27 --
Reed Sorenson has fallen from his ninth-place starting
spot to 17th in the running order. Lap 25 --
Joey Logano is up to 23rd position after starting at the
rear of the field due to an engine change. Lap 23 --
Tony Stewart moves back into third position after losing
the spot to Brian Vickers for several laps. Lap 21 --
Leader Juan Montoya has the fastest car on the track
this lap. He leads Mark Martin by 1.811 seconds. Lap 19 --
Jimmie Johnson is up to sixth position after starting in
16th. He is trailing Dale Earnhardt Jr. and closing in. Lap 17 --
Carl Edwards is running in 33rd and has an ill-handling
race car. He started in 41st. Lap 15 --
Second-place Mark Martin has the fastest car this lap. Lap 12 --
Scott Speed makes an unscheduled stop after swiping the
wall. He takes four tires. Lap 8 -- Tony
Stewart has quickly moved to fourth from his
seventh-place starting position. Lap 5 -- LEAD
CHANGE: Mark Martin bobbles and allows Juan Montoya to
